I left home to pursue my music career - Kuami Eugene tells his story

Eugene Kwame Marfo is a Ghanaian Afrobeat and high life singer and songwriter who goes by the stage name Kuami Eugene.

He is a product of lynx entertainment. And has released a couple of hits under the record label.

He was born on 1st February 1997 at Akim Oda. Ghana Communication Technology University is where he graduated from his tertiary level of education.

Alex Marfo and Juliana Marfo are his parents.

He well known for hits like Angela, Confusion, Open Gate, Wish Me Well, Adwenfi, and a lot more.

He has collaborated with a lot of big stars in Africa including Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Adina, Wendy Shay, Medikal, Davido and a whole lot more.

Kuami has won multiple awards including the biggest award scheme in Ghana music Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. He was crowned as the artist of the year in 2019.

Kuami Eugene has really gone through tough times in life before getting to where he is now. He has told us at a point he decided to move out of his parents home to pursue his music career.

He said at a point he felt like he was disturbing the peace of his parents. He used to be a sound engineer which of cause still is. And artist used to come to record with him in the house all the time. He used a portion of his mom’s kitchen as his studio which was very uncomfortable for him and his parents especially when his mom is cooking for them, and strangers will be all over the place watching whatever was going on. Is one of the many reasons he chose to leave.

And at the point to his dad hardly watches news on television due to the noise he does.
