KUAMI EUGENE TO SHARE ROYALTIES FOR SAMPLING LYRICS IN HIS LATEST RELEASE “DOLLAR ON YOU”

Singer Kuami Eugene is in trouble for sampling lyrics in his new song “DOLLAR ON YOU.”

The Lynx Entertainment signee recently dropped a new song dubbed “Dollar on You” in which he sampled some lyrics from the late gospel musician Prophet Seth Frimpong’s “Okumchola” song.

Sound engineer and music producer Roro, who happened to be the producer behind the late musician hit track “Okumchola,” has stared that he felt disappointed in both Kuami Eugene and his management team for not doing the necessity before sampling lyrics of their song.

In an interview with Hammer Time a very popular host at Pure Fm in Kumasi, Roro explained that he felt disrespected when Kuami Eugene and his team failed to contact him before sampled the song.

“Richie and Kuami Eugene should know better. I felt disrespected when I had to rather contact them myself over this. I have been in touch with them and they have agreed to share royalties with us the song.” – Roro explained.
